Answering Your Questions

Q: I have had some tax issues in the past due to an error in filing, and I’m concerned that I will be audited.  When should I hire a tax attorney to protect me from potential issues?

A: There are several factors in deciding when to hire an attorney for any reason.  If you have received communications from the IRS, it is a good idea to have an attorney review them before proceeding.  If you haven’t received communication yet, there may not be much an attorney can do.

However, if you’re confident that you will be audited, or you just want peace of mind in having your questions answered, reach out to your Legal Resources Attorney to schedule a consultation and review your case.  Your attorney will guide you on what, if any, steps to take next.
