Did You Know?

Did you know subpoenas can require you do more than just appear in court?

If you’ve ever seen a courtroom drama on tv or in a movie, you’ve probably heard the term “subpoena” in reference to someone being called to testify in court, but did you know it’s actually a court-supported means for attorneys to gather information?  Much like how police use warrants, subpoenas can require that you supply documents or information to the attorneys for presentation in court.

If you receive a subpoena, be sure to reach out to your Legal Resources Plan Attorney for review and advice.
