Anything that requires a contract opens itself up to some strange stipulations depending on the people involved. And, in the case of real estate law, many of these can be legally binding – no matter how ridiculous. Check out some of the weirdest inclusions documented in real estate transactions:
- Drink up! Some people want to test a local business before investing in the area. That must’ve been what was on the minds of the buyers who requested their seller cover their $1000 bar tab, and the seller agreed!
- Two is better than one. One family requested that a second property – a vacation home, be included in the purchase of their primary home.
- After a fast Law and Order SVU’s Christopher Meloni apparently included his 2013 Porsche Panamera to a buyer who met a certain close date.
- That’s a sweet deal. George Hamilton requested a dozen cookies every month for a year after purchasing a condo in Los Angeles from the owner of a famous bakery.
