Since the beginning of the year, businesses have reported 300+ data breaches, compromising a climbing total of more than 11 million personal records for employees and consumers nationwide. In March alone, some of the highest profile data breaches reported accounted for more than 40% of the total compromised records since the beginning of 2016.
